What’s the most rewarding thing about coaching youth soccer?

The joy and wonder of seeing young players develop/grow and sharing in the moment when they discover they accomplished something that they were unsure they could ever do.

Interests outside of coaching soccer:

- Certified in both CPR and Sports Safety
- Avid fan of many sports. Favorite teams include: Manchester United, Barcelona, St. Louis Cardinals, Columbus Crew, Notre Dame FB
- Favorite Players: Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Alan Schearer, Roy Keane
- Favorite Managers: Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp
- Hobbies: Golf, Reading
- Favorite things to do: Spend time with friends & Family, watch soccer, travel
- Married 25 years to wife Cathy, 3 children (all played for HFC)


Philosophy:
I attempt to teach kids that confidence comes not from always being right, but from not fearing to make mistakes. Mistakes are made by every human being, how you deal withyour mistakes will determine your character. Confidence is a product of how much you put into preparation. A soccer player is no different than a musician, practice is required to better the level of skill.
