Playing experience: Played soccer at Reynoldsburg High School when soccer was not viewed as a popular sport.

Greatest achievement as a player: Defending (as a center midfielder) a final shot opportunity by Bexley High School to save a draw.

Greatest achievement as a coach: Winning the Middle School championship with a team that held all opponents to zero goals.

Favorite Players: Ted Jones, Anthony Jones (my two sons)

Favorite Teams: Columbus Crew, U.S. National (men’s and women’s)

What is the most rewarding thing about coaching youth soccer?: Not only having the privilege and honor to work with so many players over the years, but to have the opportunity to reinforce qualities such as respect and dedication in these players. From there, it’s always great to watch them develop into young men who challenge themselves on and off the pitch.

Interest outside of coaching: Family (which always comes first), golf, teaching, and learning.
