    Locomotive Academy 4U
    Posted May 15, 2018

HOSA was founded nearly 40 years ago with a simple mission, provide any interested child the opportunity to play soccer regardless of age or ability.

The LOCOMOTIVE ACADEMY 4U program (previously "PK Paws") is primarily designed for three and four year old children as an introduction to the game of soccer. Players will be subdivided into small groups by gender and/or age as dictated by registration numbers.

This program utilizes age appropriate activities designed to introduce basic soccer skills and concepts in a safe and fun noncompetitive environment.

Each participant is joined by a parent for all activities to aid in fostering teamwork rather than focusing on individual performance.

A season consists of seven weekly 30-minute sessions held at the Hilliard Soccer Complex or Hilliard Soccer Park.

The $60/registration fee includes a t-shirt for each player and parent.

    Participants are required to:

    1. Provide their own size “3” soccer ball
    2.  Dress appropriately for physical activity and weather conditions
    3. Soccer cleats are optional for the players while parents need only athletic shoes.
    4. Children must wear soccer shin guards (covered by a standard soccer sock that pulls up and over the guard).
    5. Be sure to bring plenty of water for both parent and child

NOTE: The HOSA Locomotive Soccer Club places an emphasis on providing opportunities that are developmentally appropriate. On occasion, the Locomotive Professional Coaching Staff may identify a participant in one program that demonstrates the readiness for another. In such a case a member of the Coaching Staff will contact the parents to discuss that recommendation and options.
